Friday Morning Free Music: Apologize

Posted on: January 9, 2009

No, not One Republic’s popular version, but “Apologize” as sung by Silverstein.  According to ChartAttack, Silverstein has their cover of “Apologize” on the MySpace page for Punk Goes Pop 2.

It’s not a free download, but you can get a streaming sample of a few tracks from the upcoming cover album.  Here are some of the other tracks on the CD:

Alesana — “What Goes Around… Comes Around” (Justin Timberlake)
Silverstein — “Apologize” (OneRepublic)
August Burns Red — “…Baby One More Time” (Britney Spears)
Mayday Parade — “When I Grow Up” (Pussycat Dolls)
A Day To Remember — “Over My Head (Cable Car)” (The Fray)
Escape The Fate — “Smooth” (Santana featuring Rob Thomas)
There For Tomorrow — “Ice Box” (Omarion)
Chiodos — “Flagpole Sitta” (Harvey Danger)
Bayside — “Beautiful Girls” (Sean Kingston)
Breathe Carolina — “See You Again” (Miley Cyrus)
The Cab — “Disturbia” (Rihanna)
A Static Lullaby — “Toxic” (Britney Spears)
Four Year Strong — “Love Song” (Sara Bareilles)
Attack Attack! — “I Kissed A Girl” (Katy Perry)

Sounds like a cool CD.  I’ve always been a fan of The Cliks’ cover of Cry Me A River, so this CD seems like it’s up my alley.  What I like about the track list is that it’s not restricted to songs from this year…I’ve heard those plenty of times!
